Women’s Golf Scholarship
Some of the best golfers in the world can be found on the LPGA tour. The quality of play is second to none and the golf swings are some of the purest on the planet. Women golfers exhibit amazing athletic talent and we at TwoGolfGuys.com want to support and encourage women playing golf while pursuing an education. Accordingly, we’re happy to announce the 2018-2019 TwoGolfGuys.com Women in Golf Scholarship. The TwoGolfGuys.com Women in Golf Scholarship is a $500 scholarship for collegiate golfers participating in a women’s golf program.
TwoGolfGuys’ mission is to help grow the game of golf. The game of golf simply cannot grow without golfers and golf companies around the word embracing and encouraging women to start playing the game.
Less than 25% of golfers nationwide are women. That number is far too low. We want to give back to women golfers, and the golf community broadly, by easing the financial burden of education for women athletes. The TwoGolfGuys Women in Golf Scholarship, which will start with $500 per year and will be increased in the future. The scholarship will be awarded to women golfers attending college who are participating in their college’s competitive golf program.
Additionally, all applicants will be entered into the soon to be announced RAFFLE for a free golf GPS watch or a golf laser rangefinder!
Why a Scholarship? Isn’t this a blog?
If we didn’t set up this scholarship, we’d probably be donating to the general scholarship fund at school. Our own scholarship let’s us target students we think deserve some help and helps grow the future of golf.
Who can apply?
There is no GPA requirement for this scholarship. This scholarship is open to all women golfers participating in a collegiate golf program. A preference will be given to women golfers who are pursuing golf-related careers, are active in the golf community via education, charity or employment at a golf facility, and women golfers involved in golf product development.
How to Apply
To apply, please submit a short essay of 500-1000 words on one of the following topics to scholarship@twogolfguys.com:
Essay Topics:
1) How will you help grow the game of golf?
2) What are the biggest challenges in encouraging women to play golf and how can we solve them?
3) How has golf made you a better person?
Application Details
Applications are due before July 31st of each year. The winner will notified via email and profiled on our website. Must be able to provide proof of enrollment in a 4-year college or university in the United States. Subject to all local laws and regulations.
